Ok, above is a FOUR, FOUR line-breeding on a certain dog.  See how far that has gone ?  If you added up those 2 percentages, that makes only 12.5% total of those genetics that pup may carry.   Quite often you'll see in the 4th generations, a doubling up of the same dog.  Ie: 4,4- 4 is what means,  4,4 is on the Sire's side, and the -4 means that same dog shows up on the Dam's side once.   At that point add another 6.25% to it to make 19%.  Without that being a guarantee, of course...   I mean, one must take into consideration what the dogs in the 50% column look like (sire and dam)  Do they share the traits at all?  bone structure, character, color, temperament, working ability?

With a Three, Three line-breeding you have the chance of pulling in 25% of that dog's genetics you are line-breeding on.   With some luck of the draw.  Then, IF there is another showing in said pedigree of that dog, in the 4th or 5th or even again in the 3rd generation, you again add the % to it.

Here a TWO, THREE line-breeding table wherein you pull in 37.5%  of the genetics of said dog.  Plus again IF that dog shows up in the futher generations then add that to the genetic mix.

And the TWO, TWO line-breeding on said dog.   Making that 50% of the genetics.   I don't advocate doing this but once on the same dog, then take the 2,2 line-bred dog and OUTCROSS it to a dog of the type you seek to duplicate, but not genetically connected to that dog.
